These terms cover the supply of Digital Signature Certificates, USB tokens and related services by Access Technical Solutions Pvt. Ltd., trading as E-SignIndia.
What we do, and what we do not do
We are an authorised dealer, not a Certifying Authority. Certificates are issued by Certifying Authorities licensed by the Controller of Certifying Authorities under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We take your application, submit it to the CA, and help you download and use the certificate once it is approved.
This means the decision to issue, reject or revoke a certificate rests with the Certifying Authority, not with us. So do the class of certificate available, the documents required and the verification process, all of which the CA may change.
Your application
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you give us. Names must match your PAN or passport exactly, and organisation documents must be current and legible. A mismatch is the most common reason an application is rejected or a certificate fails to register on a government portal, and correcting it after issuance means applying again.
Tell us which portal you file on before you order. Statutory filing and e-tendering do not need the same certificate, and buying the wrong one means buying a second.
Your token and your password
The certificate is issued onto a FIPS-certified USB token and the private key cannot be exported from it. You set the token password during download.
Keep it safe. Neither we nor the Certifying Authority can recover or reset a token password, and a certificate can be downloaded onto a token only once. If the password is lost, or the token is formatted, damaged or lost, the certificate must be reissued at the usual cost.
Prices and quotes
We quote against what you actually file on, because price depends on the class and form of certificate, the validity you choose, whether you need a token and how many certificates you are buying. A quote is valid for the period stated in it. Certifying Authority pricing changes from time to time and quotes are subject to that.
Once an application has been submitted to a Certifying Authority and the certificate issued, it cannot be cancelled or returned — the certificate is generated specifically for you and cannot be reassigned.
Support
Installation and configuration support over remote desktop is included with certificates bought from us, during working hours, Mon–Sat, 9:30 AM–6:30 PM. It covers getting your certificate working on your machine and on the portals you file on.
Downloads on this site
Utilities, drivers, root certificates and application forms are published here for convenience and are supplied by the Certifying Authorities and token manufacturers. They are free, and we provide them as they were given to us.
Liability
We take care over the advice we give, but we do not control the Certifying Authorities, the government portals you file on, or your computer. We are not liable for missed filing deadlines, rejected applications caused by inaccurate documents, or portal downtime. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you paid us for the certificate concerned.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
